100 is building a verified-renter identity network intended to let a renter clear background, income, and identity screening once and reuse that verification across applications, aimed at reducing both applicant friction and the rental application fraud that has become a growing problem for multifamily operators. The Manhattan-based company partnered with airport-security firm CLEAR to launch its verified renter network and later launched a dedicated anti-fraud initiative called 100x. Co-founded by Caren Maio and Vishal Patel, 100 raised 5.2 million dollars in pre-seed funding in October 2024, at the time the largest proptech pre-seed round on record.
