Avery (AveryIQ)

Austin, United States

AveryIQ is an Austin-based residential property management platform built around an AI assistant named Avery, which answers calls, texts and emails, responds to rental leads, schedules tours, takes maintenance requests and finds and coordinates vendors. Rather than bolting AI onto a legacy system, the product combines trust accounting, rent collection, leasing, maintenance and a unified inbox in one database, and it exposes that data through an API and an early-access MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT. Directory profiles credit the AI with handling up to 88% of tenant interactions without a human and with 3x faster lead-to-lease conversion. The company was started by Andrew Kouri, an early Tesla Autopilot engineer who co-founded the HD-mapping startup lvl5 (acquired by DoorDash) and who says he has managed rental properties for over 15 years. AveryIQ went through Y Combinator's Winter 2024 batch; no priced round or funding amount has been disclosed publicly, and YC lists a team of three.
