MagicDoor

Las Vegas, United States

MagicDoor is a Las Vegas based, AI native property management platform for independent landlords and small property managers. It puts vacancy listing, rent collection, multilingual tenant communication, maintenance dispatch, vendor sourcing and compliance in one system, positioned against legacy tools such as AppFolio and Buildium, and it charges no subscription fee, earning revenue from payment processing instead. Founder and CEO Kasper Sogaard, a former Amazon engineering manager who manages about 30 rental units in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, started the company after finding existing software 20 years behind. MagicDoor raised a pre-seed of more than $2M backed by Shadow Ventures in October 2024, launched the platform in late 2024, and in September 2025 closed an oversubscribed $4.5M seed co-led by Okapi Venture Capital and Shadow Ventures, bringing total funding to about $6.5M. It reports triple-digit month over month growth since launch and says customers see up to 5x productivity gains.
