NexMetro Development is the Phoenix-based build-to-rent pioneer behind the Avilla Homes brand of detached, single-story rental cottage communities. The company has built or has underway more than 60 Avilla Homes neighborhoods across Sunbelt markets including Phoenix, Dallas, Denver, Atlanta, Austin and Tampa. In February 2026, NexMetro introduced Direct Access Fund 2026 (DAF 26), a new private-equity investment vehicle designed to fund the development and long-term stabilization of Avilla Homes communities.
