Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Red Sea Global (RSG) is the Public Investment Fund company that develops and operates Saudi Arabia's regenerative tourism destinations on the Red Sea coast, chiefly The Red Sea and AMAALA, alongside real estate, hospitality, infrastructure, mobility and utility businesses. It was set up in 2017 as The Red Sea Development Company and later renamed Red Sea Global; its board is chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and its Group CEO since 2018 has been John Pagano. The Red Sea destination welcomed its first guests in 2023 with Red Sea International Airport, and by March 2026 RSG had eight resorts operating there, including The St. Regis Red Sea Resort, Nujuma (a Ritz-Carlton Reserve), Six Senses Southern Dunes, Shebara and Desert Rock. RSG said it would double its portfolio to 16 hotels during 2026 with about 3,000 rooms, with most new openings at AMAALA, and targeted 300,000 visitors for the year. AMAALA opened in 2026 at Triple Bay: Four Seasons (June), Six Senses (July) and Rosewood (August) were followed by Nammos in September, which was described as the sixth resort operating there. RSG puts Phase One investment at AMAALA at SAR 51.04 billion and runs its destinations on 100% renewable energy with a target of a 30% net conservation gain by 2040.
