Peachtree Group

Atlanta, United States

Peachtree Group is an Atlanta-based, privately owned commercial real estate investment manager that invests through hotel acquisitions, ground-up development and direct lending. Greg Friedman and Mitul Patel formed it in 2007 as Peachtree Hotel Group, a family office buying premium-branded select-service hotels; CFO Jatin Desai joined in 2009, and the three principals own the firm. It reorganized into a vertically integrated private equity firm, launched its first credit vehicle in 2014, folded its Stonehill Strategic Capital lending arm into the Peachtree name in 2023 and rebranded from Peachtree Hotel Group in 2022 as it moved beyond hotels. As of January 2026 it reported more than $16.6 billion in real estate asset value and $11.1 billion of committed capital under management, with 357 corporate employees and 3,380 hotel-based employees; it also runs Peachtree Hospitality Management, construction project management and a captive broker-dealer (PPCI). In Texas it says it has made roughly 50 investments totaling about $1.5 billion, and its current hotel developments include a 480-room Embassy Suites and Tempo by Hilton tower in downtown Austin and a 264-room AC Hotel and Moxy in Uptown Dallas.
