The last privately-owned parcel on Svalbard: 60 sq km (14,830 acres) including the island of Reinholmen, held since 1910 by Aktieselskabet Kulspids. The owners are selling 100% of the shares in the company. Buyers must originate from one of the ~46 nations that ratified the 1920 Svalbard Treaty, which includes Russia and China. Norway's government has invoked the National Security Act to require state approval for any sale and has made a competing offer of its own, but the owners have publicly rejected that offer and the listing remains live on the company's own site.
