Bill Huffman

Chief Executive Officer

Bill Huffman is Chief Executive Officer of Nuveen, overseeing the firm's vision, strategy, and day-to-day operations for a global asset management business with over $1 trillion in assets. He chairs the Nuveen Executive Committee and is a member of TIAA’s Executive Committee, driving key growth initiatives and investment oversight. Previously, he led Nuveen’s Equities and Fixed Income group and served as president of Nuveen Asset Management, following 17 years at Northern Trust in senior leadership roles. Huffman holds a B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University and an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Chicago, and is based in Chicago.
