James Patchett

James Patchett is the President and CEO of Gilbane Development Company, bringing over two decades of experience in real estate, finance, economic development, and public-private partnerships. Prior to joining Gilbane, he served as Partner in the Real Estate practice at McKinsey & Company and as President & CEO of the New York City Economic Development Corporation, where he managed a portfolio of over 60 million square feet of real estate and led $10 billion in development and infrastructure projects. He previously held leadership roles at A&E Real Estate and Goldman Sachs’ Urban Investment Group, and has a strong track record of driving transformation, growth, and innovation in complex urban environments. James holds a BA in Economics from Amherst College and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
