505 State Street (Alloy Block)
Brooklyn, New York
505 State Street is a 44-story mixed-use residential and retail tower in Downtown Brooklyn, developed as the first phase of the Alloy Block, which aims to be the most sustainable block in Brooklyn. Completed in Spring 2024, it is New York City's first all-electric skyscraper powered by local renewable energy, featuring 441 apartments (including 45 affordable units) and 30,000 square feet of retail space. The project sets new standards for energy efficiency, design, and community integration, with amenities such as a gym, yoga studio, and workspace, and is adjacent to two Passive House public schools. Currently, the building is operational and over 85% leased, with the broader Alloy Block development continuing in subsequent phases.
