Embassy Suites by Hilton and Tempo by Hilton Austin Downtown

A 30-story, 480-room dual-branded hotel at the corner of Fifth and Lavaca streets (415 Lavaca Street) in downtown Austin that pairs Hilton's all-suite, full-service Embassy Suites with its lifestyle brand Tempo by Hilton. Peachtree Group and Merritt Development Group are co-developing it, with DPR Construction as general contractor and DLR Group as architect and interior designer. Plans include a roughly two-story signature restaurant, a rooftop bar and lounge, an Embassy Suites restaurant and bar, a Tempo cafe, meeting and event space and a fitness center, with the two brands sharing amenities and back-of-house operations. The Real Deal reports the 337,000-square-foot tower will cost about $135 million to build, per a March 2026 filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. It is expected to open in early 2029, around the time the rebuilt Austin Convention Center reopens.
