Bridgeland is a visionary, 11,400-acre master-planned community in Cypress, Texas, developed by The Howard Hughes Corporation to eventually accommodate up to 20,000 homes and 70,000 residents. The project is designed as a mixed-use urban hub with extensive green spaces, lakes, trails, retail, dining, offices, and recreational amenities, aiming to create a walkable, self-sufficient suburban city center. Its significance lies in transforming former prairie land into one of Houston’s top-selling communities, blending modern living with environmental preservation and connectivity. Currently, Bridgeland is mid-development, with over 7,500 homes completed, 22,000 residents, and major commercial and civic projects coming online through 2025–2026, with full build-out targeted around 2037.
