Cardinal Health Pharmaceutical Distribution Center

Cardinal Health is developing a 230,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art pharmaceutical distribution center in Indianapolis, Indiana, designed to set a new benchmark for automation and operational efficiency. The facility will feature the industry’s first robotic storage and retrieval system, developed in partnership with Swisslog, enabling real-time inventory visibility and intelligent order fulfillment. Strategically located in a major transit hub, the center will support over 70,000 daily pharmaceutical and specialty deliveries nationwide and create more than 100 new jobs. Currently under construction, the center is scheduled to be fully operational by fall 2027.
