Cheniere Corpus Christi LNG Facility Expansion

The Cheniere Corpus Christi LNG Facility Expansion in Gregory, Texas, is a major energy infrastructure project adding significant liquefied natural gas (LNG) export capacity to the existing terminal. The expansion, known as Stage 3 and the Midscale Trains 8 & 9 Project, includes the construction of seven midscale trains and two additional trains, increasing the site's total nominal liquefaction capacity to over 30 million tonnes per annum (mtpa). This project is strategically significant as it positions the facility as the second largest LNG export terminal in the United States, supporting both domestic energy markets and global LNG demand. As of late 2025, the first LNG cargoes have been produced, with full completion and ramp-up expected by the end of 2026.
