Cincinnati Marriott Downtown
Cincinnati, OH
The Cincinnati Marriott Downtown is a 21-story, roughly 700-room full-service convention headquarters hotel that Portman is developing in downtown Cincinnati's Convention District. The roughly 660,000-square-foot building will include about 60,000 to 62,000 square feet of meeting space, multiple ballrooms, a roughly 17,000-square-foot events terrace, a full-service restaurant, an outdoor bar and ground-floor retail, and it will connect by skybridge to the renovated First Financial Center convention center. Portman closed $540 million of financing in June 2026, with Bank OZK as senior lender, Huntington National Bank as bridge lender, Aimbridge Hospitality as manager and equity partner, and Piper Sandler placing the debt. About $248 million of public support is part of the stack. The hotel anchors the city's $828 million Convention District revitalization plan, broke ground on July 21, 2026, and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2028.
