The Davie Manufacturing and Warehouse Complex, branded as the 'American Icebreaker Factory,' is a transformative industrial project in Galveston, Texas, led by Davie Defense Inc., the U.S. arm of Canadian shipbuilder Davie. The facility is designed to deliver Arctic Security Cutters and other advanced vessels for the U.S. Coast Guard, representing one of the largest expansions of U.S. shipbuilding capacity in decades. Key features include new assembly bays, shiplifts, and a reclaimed waterfront apron, with the project expected to create over 7,000 jobs statewide and generate a $9 billion economic impact.
