Destination: Grand is a transformative $2.5 billion expansion of Henry Ford Health’s Detroit campus, anchored by a new 1.2 million-square-foot hospital and 20-story patient tower. The project features state-of-the-art medical facilities, a central energy hub, expanded emergency and surgical departments, and a major partnership with Shirley Ryan AbilityLab for inpatient rehabilitation. It is the largest healthcare investment in Detroit’s history, aiming to revitalize the New Center neighborhood with mixed-use, residential, and community spaces. Construction began in 2024 and is progressing toward a late 2026 completion, with the legacy hospital remaining operational throughout.
