The Disneyland Resort Expansion, branded as DisneylandForward, is a transformative, multi-year development initiative in Anaheim, California, aimed at integrating new theme park experiences, hotels, retail, dining, and entertainment venues across Disney’s existing property. Approved by the Anaheim City Council in May 2024, the project unlocks previously restricted land for mixed-use development, enabling the addition of immersive lands such as an 'Avatar'-themed area, expanded Avengers Campus, and a new transportation hub. This expansion is the largest since the resort’s opening in 1955, designed to meet surging demand and enhance Anaheim’s economic vitality. The project is currently in the planning and early construction phase, with phased openings anticipated through 2026 and beyond.
