East End Revitalization

Houston, Texas

East End Revitalization is a transformative mixed-use development initiative in Houston, Texas, focused on reconnecting the East End with downtown through a vibrant convention and entertainment district. The project’s first phase features a 700,000-square-foot expansion of the George R. Brown Convention Center, a 100,000-square-foot pedestrian plaza, and the largest ballroom in Texas. It aims to create walkable public spaces, foster community engagement, and enhance Houston’s competitiveness for major events. Currently under construction, the project is backed by a unique state funding mechanism and is set to redefine the city’s eastern edge.
