Kautilya Group bought the building, vacant since 2019, for $3.4 million and redeveloped it with 65 Fairfield Inn & Suites rooms and 80 extended-stay TownePlace Suites rooms. Plans included a drive-through restaurant space originally earmarked for Starbucks (later marketed to other restaurant tenants), a pool, fitness center and coworking office space. Marriott now lists the Fairfield Inn & Suites East Hartford at this address as newly opened, with an indoor pool, 24-hour fitness center and shared office space.
