Field & Stream Lodge Bend
Bend, Oregon
Field & Stream Lodge Bend is a planned 151-room outdoor lifestyle lodge that will replace the former Shilo Inn on the banks of the Deschutes River in Bend, Oregon, after a full renovation. Announced together with Big Bear, it will be one of the second and third lodges of Field & Stream Lodge Co., the hospitality platform founded by Starwood Capital Group and AJ Capital Partners, whose first lodge is a 179-room converted Holiday Inn in Bozeman, Montana that opened in May 2025. The partners bought the bankrupt Shilo Inn and have put up signage announcing a 2028 opening. The lodge sits less than two miles from downtown Bend, with year-round access to skiing and mountain biking at Mt. Bachelor and climbing at Smith Rock. Room offerings, amenities and exact opening timing have not been announced, and the project has drawn a public information campaign from the hotel workers union UNITE HERE aimed at AJ Capital's record elsewhere.
