Hyundai and LG Energy Solution Battery Plant

The Hyundai and LG Energy Solution Battery Plant is a joint venture facility under construction in Bryan County near Savannah, Georgia, designed to supply advanced EV battery cells for Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles. With a planned annual capacity of 30 GWh, the plant will support production of up to 300,000 electric vehicles per year and is adjacent to Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America. The project is a cornerstone of Georgia’s strategy to become a national leader in e-mobility, representing transformative investment and job creation for the region. As of late 2025, construction is ongoing, with production now expected to begin in the first half of 2026 due to recent delays.
