The Hyundai Motor Group Montgomery Expansion is a major upgrade and retooling of Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama’s assembly plant in Montgomery, Alabama. The project focuses on preparing the facility for the fifth-generation Santa Fe SUV, as well as enhancing production lines for the Tucson SUV and Santa Cruz Sport Adventure Vehicle. This expansion is significant for its role in supporting Hyundai’s North American market strategy, introducing advanced manufacturing technologies, and reinforcing Montgomery’s status as a key automotive hub. As of late 2025, the plant is operational with new model production underway and equipment upgrades nearing completion.
