La Central

La Central is a transformative five-building, multi-phase mixed-use development in the Melrose neighborhood of the Bronx, spanning approximately 1.2 million square feet. The project delivers over 1,000 units of affordable and supportive housing, extensive community facilities, retail space, and vibrant public amenities. Key features include a state-of-the-art YMCA, BronxNet television studios, a public skatepark, and a rooftop observatory for Bronx High School of Science. As of November 2025, several phases are completed and operational, with final phases under construction and full completion targeted for late 2026.
