NewCold Hagerstown Cold Storage
Hagerstown, MD
NewCold, a Netherlands-based cold logistics company, is building a $275 million, approximately 400,000-square-foot automated cold storage warehouse on the former Review & Herald property in Hagerstown, Maryland. The 15-story, roughly 150-foot-tall facility will use robotic cranes and temperature-controlled systems for frozen food storage. Groundwork began in summer 2025, with steel framing underway and interior automation and refrigeration systems slated for installation in late 2026 ahead of an early-2027 operational start. The project received a $1 million conditional loan from the Maryland Department of Commerce and is expected to create 125 to 150 jobs.
