NYS Life Sciences Public Health Laboratory

The NYS Life Sciences Public Health Laboratory is a state-of-the-art facility under construction on the W. Averell Harriman State Office Building Campus in Albany, New York. The project consolidates five existing Wadsworth Center facilities into a single, purpose-built laboratory spanning approximately 655,600 square feet. Designed to advance public health research, preparedness, and innovation, it will house specialized divisions, administrative offices, and support infrastructure. As of late 2025, the project is actively under construction with completion targeted for the end of 2026.
