Oklo Nuclear Fuel Processing Facility

Oak Ridge, Tennessee

The Oklo Nuclear Fuel Processing Facility is a pioneering advanced nuclear fuel recycling center under development at the Oak Ridge Heritage Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Spanning 247 acres, the facility will be the nation’s first privately funded commercial-scale plant to recycle used nuclear fuel, supporting a durable domestic supply chain for advanced reactors. The project is expected to create over 800 skilled jobs and anchor a multi-phase campus for nuclear fuel innovation. As of late 2025, the facility is in the planning and early construction phase, with operations targeted for the late 2020s.
