Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital Redevelopment
Mississauga, Ontario
The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital Redevelopment is a transformative healthcare infrastructure project that will fully replace the existing Mississauga Hospital with a new, state-of-the-art facility spanning 2.8 million square feet. The redevelopment includes the Shah Family Hospital for Women and Children, making it the largest hospital project in Canada and the first in Ontario to dedicate a hospital for women and children within a general hospital setting. Key features include over 950 beds, expanded emergency and surgical services, advanced diagnostic imaging, and a modern pharmacy and laboratory. As of November 2025, the project has reached financial close, with construction set to begin in Summer 2025 and substantial completion targeted for April 2033.
