Tesla Semi and 4680 Battery Factory Expansion
Sparks, Nevada
The Tesla Semi and 4680 Battery Factory Expansion in Sparks, Nevada, is a major industrial project adjacent to the existing Gigafactory Nevada. The facility is designed to mass-produce the all-electric Tesla Semi truck and next-generation 4680 battery cells, with a targeted annual output of up to 50,000 trucks and significant battery capacity. This expansion leverages Tesla’s integrated manufacturing ecosystem to support the electrification of heavy-duty transport and scale battery production for multiple vehicle lines. As of late 2025, the building is complete, equipment installation is underway, and volume production is scheduled to commence in the second half of 2026.
