Designed to streamline Walmart’s supply chain, the center receives, sorts, and stores imported goods from the Port of Charleston for distribution to approximately 850 Walmart and Sam’s Club stores across the Southeast. The project represents a significant investment in regional logistics infrastructure, creating over 1,000 full-time jobs and boosting local port volumes by 5%. The facility is fully operational as of April 2022, serving as a critical hub for Walmart’s Southeast distribution network.
