Woodside Louisiana LNG Facility
Sulphur, Louisiana
The Woodside Louisiana LNG Facility is a large-scale liquefied natural gas (LNG) production and export terminal under construction in Sulphur, Louisiana. The project, led by Woodside Energy, is designed to deliver up to 27.6 million metric tons per annum (Mtpa) of LNG at full build-out, with an initial phase targeting 16.5 Mtpa from three trains. As the largest single foreign direct investment in Louisiana’s history, the facility is expected to significantly enhance U.S. LNG export capacity and support global energy security. Construction began in 2022, with the first LNG production targeted for 2029 and rapid progress underway.
