ZenniHome Navajo Nation Modular Housing Expansion

ZenniHome partnered with the Navajo Nation to develop a modular housing factory on the former Navajo Generating Station site near Page, Arizona, aiming to deliver up to 160 factory-built homes for tribal families. The project featured sustainable construction, advanced modular design, and prioritized local employment, especially for displaced Navajo workers. Despite initial progress and significant investment, the project was shut down in July 2025 due to funding cuts, contractual disputes, and political challenges, leaving the factory idle and triggering a tribal investigation. The closure resulted in over 210 layoffs and has become a focal point for accountability and future tribal housing initiatives.
