The Blackstone North-East England Data Center Campus is a £10 billion hyperscale data center development located in Cambois, near Blyth, Northumberland. The campus will feature ten state-of-the-art data center buildings with a total IT capacity of 720MW, making it one of the largest single-site data center investments in Europe. Strategically positioned on a redeveloped brownfield site with proximity to renewable energy infrastructure and the Port of Blyth, the project is designated as an AI Growth Zone and is expected to drive significant economic growth and job creation in the region. Currently, the campus has received final planning approval and is commencing enabling works, with QTS (a Blackstone subsidiary) leading development and operations.
