Claude Oakland Eichler, Diamond Heights

San Francisco, California, United States

A 1962 Eichler in San Francisco's Diamond Heights, designed by architect Claude Oakland for developer Joseph Eichler. It is larger than a typical Diamond Heights Eichler, with 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and about 2,534 sq ft on a double lot of 6,098 sq ft, including about 500 sq ft added on the lower level by the first owner. The house keeps its original mahogany wall paneling and has floor-to-ceiling glass, a renovated kitchen and baths, oak floors upstairs and ipe decking. The garden was redesigned by the landscape firm Terremoto with native plants and looks out over Glen Canyon, and there is a stainless steel hot tub.
