Google Bay View Campus is a 1.1 million square foot, all-electric net water positive corporate headquarters complex located on 42 acres at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California. The campus comprises three lightweight canopy structures including two office buildings designed to accommodate approximately 4,350 employees, a 1,000-person event center, and 240 short-term employee accommodation units. Completed in 2022 and designed by BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) and Heatherwick Studio, the campus represents Google's first ground-up campus development with a mission to operate on carbon-free energy 24/7 by 2030. The property achieved LEED Platinum certification and as of February 2023 is the world's largest net zero water project, incorporating 20 acres of open space, recreational facilities, walking trails, and 17.3 acres of preserved natural habitat including wetlands, woodlands, and marshes.
