Grande Lakes Orlando Resort
Orlando, Florida, United States
Grande Lakes Orlando is a 409-acre luxury resort complex south of downtown Orlando anchored by two Marriott-managed hotels: the 582-key Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes and the roughly 1,010-key JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes. The institutional-quality asset includes 320,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, 14 food and beverage outlets, a 40,000-square-foot spa with 40 treatment rooms, multiple pools and a waterpark, and a Greg Norman-designed 18-hole championship golf course that hosts the PGA Tour's PNC Championship. The resort opened in 2003 as a joint venture between Marriott International and Thayer Hotel Investors and has changed institutional owners twice since, most recently trading in a deal reported as the largest non-gaming U.S. resort transaction on record.
