North-East England Mega Data Center
Cambois, Northumberland, United Kingdom
The North-East England Mega Data Center is a next-generation hyperscale facility under development in Cambois, near Blyth, Northumberland, designed to be the largest AI-focused data center in Europe. Developed by QTS Data Centers with Blackstone investment, the campus will deliver up to 180 MW of scalable, sustainable digital infrastructure, serving hyperscale cloud, AI, and enterprise clients. Strategically located within the UK Government’s AI Growth Zone, the site benefits from robust connectivity, proximity to subsea cables, and access to a skilled regional workforce. As of late 2025, enabling works are underway, with the project positioned as a cornerstone of the region’s transformation into a premier European technology and data hub.
