The UNFI Sarasota North Distribution Center is a state-of-the-art 1 million-square-foot distribution facility located in the SRQ Logistics Center near Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport, representing a 35% expansion from UNFI's previous 734,000-square-foot facility in the region. The center features cutting-edge warehouse automation technologies including KNAPP's Pick-it-Easy Robot with artificial intelligence capabilities and Goods-to-Person automation systems, designed to enhance order accuracy and operational efficiency. The facility is fully air-conditioned with natural daylight design, dimmable lighting, comprehensive water filtration systems, and employee-focused amenities including a gym, game area, recreation spaces, and driver's lounge. Officially opened in November 2025, the center currently employs over 400 individuals and serves as UNFI's flagship distribution hub for the Florida market.
